Thick darkness

The lines have been blurred by blood.

Thick darkness the earth and thick darkness the people.

I hope we don't fade to black.

What's left when the light in us has turned to darkness?

2020, a year no one will forget, a new era is birth.

Many don't know this but it is only a foreshadow of the things to come.

Walk your walk, talk your talk and ,do your thing.

But never forget at the crossroads is where we'll all meet.

Prepare the way of the people, clear it of stones, raise an ensign.

The river flows and everything shall live where the rivers go.

You need light to see.

You need it to heal.

Depths of pain, the birth pangs.

The earth is about to give birth to mysteries yet unseen—

But ye chosen for the due seasons;

Arise and shine,

For it is time.

A friend in an unlikely place.

Dedicated to Ajibola🌼  Quiet, modest, reserved– these are the words I would use to describe you.  We've known each other for five years, I remembered the first time I got to know you. It was at camp, at an hostel. It was a popular story building having a wide spaced compound. There were about four identical structures in that building. I had gone over there to see a mutual friend, and fellow departmental mate.  It was morning, my sister and I were both sitting outside, by a pole of some sort admiring the sky.  We were so surprised to see you but it was a pleasant surprise. We didn't know we would get to meet anyone else we knew here.  I think you even greeted us first.  You were different from what I had originally thought. This was around 200l. As opposed to being someone who liked to keep to themselves, you were easy to talk to. For the first time, I asked for your name and you told me, AJIBOLA.  I later got to know that other people know you by a d...

Far, far away (A song).

Dedicated to Phaserprime(Monijesu) ❤️ We live far away.  We're from far away. Now I know this land ain't mine.  This place ain't mine.  Were from far away. Now we're living as strangers, in a foreign land.  When will we go home? Everybody's telling me that I've overstayed my welcome, welcome. Even I know this ain't my home. I know that I'm from, far away.  Yeah. I'm from far away.

My Earth

JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER. My World, my Earth, my Home. Earth, how wounded you have become.  You've been bruised, burned, destroyed, maltreated, misunderstood. People, culture, race, colour, government, religion. You accommodate us all. You know you're dying, we're killing you. Are you now retaliation for all the ways we've wronged you, are you saying this is the end for us, for you? Is it time? Are you telling us goodbye? There was a time I would have begged you to live a bit longer but I want peace, joy, hope...love. I'm not sad to let you go Earth. Your time is almost up, our time is almost up. How I know? Just check the internet. Everything with a beginning has an end. You've lived a long time. ° ° ° ° ° So what do you guys think?🤗❤️ I wrote this some weeks ago, because I was unhappy with what was happening all around us. A lot has happened this year, we pray ...
