THE TOWER

We're all going up, striving for something,

A better house, better cars, better jobs...

But what really matters the most?

That is the billion dollar question, right?

Why do we do all of these, what is the end point?

We know the end though we don't know _when_ it comes,

But along the way, striving for these things, let us not forget those who love us, those who were there, those we laughed with, those we became stronger with,

This life is indeed vanity but what's more is what comes after our race,

Will you be the winner of the race or the loser?

Eternity is longer than our mortality,

I can't not make it home after all I've been through here,

So with each floor I climb, I must never forget what lies beyond the top of the tower,

It's either I fall off,

Or I fly beyond,

So, dear reader, what will it be?

Want to fly with me?

From a flower in her garden,

Taiwolilly ✌

Waves

I see water...different shades and depths of water. Eyes that exude calm and warmth, he is the sun to me. Bright and peaceful. He is the sky. He is a paradox, flame and water. You could feel the calm and the heat. I can't describe it, My words are failing me and my pen can't write this. I speak of his truth, I look at those eyes and I feel myself sink into that river of his,  That endless ocean that rest dormant like a volcano, And I wait, I wait for the day I'd see the wrath of his eyes. Damn him, damn what those eyes do to me, And here I am, Falling and Drowning in those catastrophic blue eyes of his. Yet, dangerous and drowning. Eyes that hold me captive. I see everything he is and could be. He is a river flowing gently,  Those eyes called to me, I took the bait, I swam. Haven't met a man like him who does these things to me, make me do things I normally wouldn't do,   Can't explain it, can't describe it.  His gaze is melting, it s...

GOLD

I'm looking for gold. Barefoot and hungry I wandered through the forest. My hands brushed roughly against tree trunks and shrubs as I leaned against them for support. I was tired, it's been two days. But I'd made a promise, I wouldn't leave without my gold. I could feel goosebumps rising up my body as the cold air clung jealously to my skin. 'I've lost him,' I thought looking back. Good. No one was going to share in my gold. Gold was all I needed in this world. I heard shuffling in the bushes nearby. I gasped turning around, arms and legs battle ready. "Who's there?" I silently cursed myself for sounding so shaky. There was no response. I tensed up. 'My gold,' I thought, 'my precious gold.' As I took a step towards the overgrown bushes, my lungs in my throat, out of nowhere an arrow flew right past me, missing my head by a few inches. I gasped, eyes wide. I turned around and made a run for it....

Yay♥🥰

1,2,3,4,5....24. How time flies. Tic-Tok goes the clock. Never stopping, never waiting. Two decades and four years, that is how long I've been alive. I've lived 12 whole years...twice. Who was I at the age of twelve? Did I even know who Taiwo was then? I was in JS 3, a very awkward and reserved girl. I had a lot of joy and nothing much bothered me. I didn't have responsibilities to worry about. I only had to pass my exams and my mother would be impressed. I enjoyed the company of family.  How simple life was then, at twelve. Now I've lived twice that now and I've discovered now that there was more beyond life than secondary school. You know I used to be afraid of growing up.  One, because I didn't think I could survive as an adult because of my reserved nature. I felt like I was too timid to be shouldered with important responsibilities. But here I am now. Would you be proud, 12 yr old me? I think you would. I think Mummy would, I think Daddy would. And I hope...
